No one enjoys long haul flight, especially the women. When a long distance flight ends, the passengers step onto the airport with tired faces, disheveled hair, wrinkled clothes and puffy or sleep deprived eyes. In short, you are a disaster. The stress and exhaustion of the flight are quite visible on the face. But the good news is that there are ways to look fresh and feel fresh at the end of a long haul flight. Following are some tips to staying beautiful and refreshed that are sure to bring some improvement to your appearance.
Your wardrobe is extremely essential to your outlook. You want to look good when you land at the airport, then dress smartly. Choose to wear a dress that does not wrinkle or wear a fabric that does not need ironing. There are plenty of fabrics that don’t need ironing like nylon or polyester. Even things made of cottons like tee shirts and leggings don’t need ironing because the wrinkles don’t usually last. Wrinkled clothing is bound to give you a bad appearance so make sure you avoid this.
Beer, champagne or any kind of booze is a big no if you wish to remain fresh after a long haul flight. The air hostess will surely tempt you with a complimentary drink at the start of a flight. I know it is hard to say no to a free drink but you have to do it. Ask for juice or water instead. Alcohol is obviously not a good start to a flight and nor would it be a good end. Make sure you resist it throughout.
Sleep plays an important role in keeping a person fresh during long haul flights. You must catch a good amount of sleep if your flight is scheduled to land in the morning, otherwise, you will have to bear the tired and not very appealing look on your face. And trust me, you don’t want to do that. Use an earphone to block off the noise or take a window seat. If you still can’t sleep, then as the last resort, take a sleeping pill.
Okay, so the ultimate savior is your make-up. Five to ten minutes before the plane lands, do make- up retouching which would ensure you looking good when the plane eventually does land. And of course, just a light make-up is required. If you over do it, you might make a fool out of yourself. A lip balm, mascara, moisturizer and blush-on will suffice to make you look presentable and decent.
